All our adult volunteers working with children and young people are DBS checked.

Lifegroups
Growing in faith and community in homes across the area
Attending church once a week can make it difficult to build lasting relationships and grow in our relationship with God.
Life groups are small group gatherings where we can grow spiritually and build relationships with each other. They usually meet on a weekday evening, although some groups may gather during the day. The programme will vary, including informal Bible study, prayer, book or video based discussion and of course friendship and food together!
We currently have four lifegroups that meet in different locations, including one aimed at young adults.
Please speak to Pastor Les or Dan to sign up

Alpha Course and Baptism
Opportunities to explore faith more
Alpha Course – An 11 week course exploring life’s big questions, unpacking the Christian faith. Space for good food, interesting videos and conversation. No pressure. It’s free and runs once a year.
Start Course – A 6 week course that assumes no prior knowledge of the Christian faith. Space to reflect and find out more about church in your own time. It’s free and runs once a year
Baptism – If you have decided to follow Jesus and haven’t been baptised yet then get in touch to discuss baptism further.

Sunday Morning Teams
Get involved in serving on a Sunday Morning
Our Sunday Morning services rely on volunteers to help them run smoothly. Here are some areas that our church family get involved in:
Set Up Team – We have three teams who take it in turns to set up the building ready for our service.
Welcome Team – We have a team who ensure everyone who arrives at Life Church receives a warm welcome.
Tea and Coffee – We have a team who provide biscuits, set up and serve tea and coffee after the service every week.
Worship and Tech – We have a band of volunteer musicians and singers who lead us in worship during the service. We also have volunteers who run the screens and sound desk.
GIG (Growing in God) – We have a team who take turns to lead the children’s group during the service, preparing age appropriate activities to help them grow in their faith. All adult volunteers on this team need to have a DBS check.

Mission Partners
Supporting God’s mission both locally and globally
As a church we have dedicated funds for mission with our “neighbours” and with the “nations”. Here are some of our mission partners:
Passion4Doncaster – Bringing unity across churches in the city of Doncaster, we attend united worship and support Passion4Doncaster mission events such as The Banquet, Shine Your Light and Good Friday = Good News, sharing the love of God in our whole city.
DN7 Foodbank – Set up to help those struggling with food poverty in the North East of Doncaster, we support the DN7 Foodbank by collecting food donations on the first Sunday of every month.
Mark and Marie Lees – AOG missionaries in Turkey, we financially support Mark and Mark as they work with churches and pastors in Turkey.
Doncaster Youth For Christ – We support Doncaster YFC as they bring over interns from the 10:2 Project every year, providing them with a host church, prayer and encouragement.
Doncaster Schools Worker Trust – We actively pray for and support the Doncaster Schools Worker Trust as they employ workers to take the gospel into Primary and Secondary Schools all across Doncaster.

Generosity and Giving
Giving out of what we have been given
One of our core values at Life Church Doncaster is generosity. We give because Christ has freely given to us. If you would like to give to the church regularly here are some ways you can do that:
Bank Transfer or Standing Order– the best way to give to us. Contact Rob Ridler our Treasurer for the bank details.
Donation Basket – give in cash in person on a Sunday morning directly into the basket on the welcome table
Online – we are in the process of setting up online donations. Watch this space!
Give to something specific – we would rather you give without restricting it to something specific, but if you would like to donate to our mission fund, this will be split between our Neighbours and Nations funds, supporting mission locally and globally. Speak to Rob Ridler about how to do this.
Your Time/Skills/Something Else – If you have a specific skill you could donate or time to give to the church, then speak to one of the leadership team. You may also have something you could donate to our ministries, so speak to the ministry leaders direct.
